Raf Duran is an artist from Amsterdam crafting dark, danceable alt-synthpop for the Anthropocene.
Inspired by the early ’80s electronics of Depeche Mode, Fad Gadget and Pet Shop Boys, as well as contemporaries Fever Ray, TR/ST and Robyn, he turns neurosis into LED-lit catharsis.
His songs wrestle with AI, the looming Third World War, the Sixth Mass Extinction, the climate crisis — and, just as relentlessly, love, life and death.
